March 4, 2020 - The Moore family will be given the key to their new home!  Congratulations to them and to all who helped make their dream come true!

Long Pond Updates

June 27, 2020, Saturday.

Thanks to a few volunteers we have been making progress.  We are ready for the rest of you to join us.

West End Drilling has our #865 well water running; Glynn Electric has our houses ready for meters; Anderson Insulation has all three houses insulated.

Maybruck Plumbing has Tracy's house all rough plumbed; Taylor and Jon LeClair have started their oak flooring; Jenny's house is almost ready for painting.

Finished all six porches; We poured all six porch landings.

All while working safely under the CoVid 19 slow down.  Now it's time for the rest of you to start back and join us if you can. We really need your help to get our families into these three beautiful homes!  We must finish sheet-rocking, taping, painting, oak flooring, and tiling; Hanging doors and trimming out the interior of all three homes is coming up.

As of February 29, 2020 -

     863:  Completed:  Siding, basement floor insulation;  80% completed:  Rough electric; Next to be done:  Rough plumbing and concrete poured for basement floor
     865:  Completed:  Siding; 80% completed:  Rough electric; 75% Complete:  Rough plumbing; Next up:  Basement insulation and concrete poured
     867:  Completed:  Interior partitions, lally columns, basement floor insulation, Exterior doors and windows installed; !0% Complete:  Vinyl siding; Ready for:Basement floor concrete, Rough plumbing and electric.

Dec 28, 2019 - Jan 4, 2020 -

     863:  Roofing completed by Viola, front porch footings in place, Vinyl siding 75% complete
     865:  Roofing completed by Viola, front porch footings in place
     867:  Azek trim delivered.  The porch roof is next.

   863:  Windows: 100% installed; Exterior doors: 50% installed; Porch roof: 100% constructed; Vinyl siding: 50% complete; Tubs & Showers: delivered thanks to Sagamore Plumbing; Septic System: 100% installed thanks to Bolduc Sanitation & Excavation

Dec 18, 2019 - Thanks to our friends at Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity for referring a hardworking group from Travelers Insurance (W. Bridgewater office) who helped at our Long Pond Rd. sites where they made great progress on the important task of installing windows.

Dec 7, 2019 - Neither holiday weekends or bitter cold deters our volunteers from getting the job done!

     863:  Front Porch Roof Done; Roof trim Done; Vinyl siding 25%

     865:  Front Porch Roof 50%; Roof Trim 70%; Vinyl siding 20%
 

Nov 16, 2019 - A group from Church of the Pilgrimage joined in the fun and helped to bring the homes to this status:

     863:  75% roof trimmed; 90% interior partitions;20% vinyl siding installed

     865:  75% roof trimmed; bulkhead installed; 90% interior partitions; Started vinyl siding

     867:  60% of interior partitions completed.

More volunteers are welcome and encouraged to jump in on the building of both the Brentwood and Long Pond builds!

About a dozen volunteers came to expedite the three homes' completion.  Help will be needed on Saturdays to wrap this up and get the families home!
