Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth has started the site work needed to support an affordable house located at 20 Brentwood Road in Kingston. When completed there will be a three-bedroom cape style home on the last buildable lot in an existing subdivision. A large part of the site is wetland that must be preserved and protected but there is enough space for a decent affordable home. The project is expected to take about a year to complete.
The first step in most home construction projects is to prepare the site for building the house and supporting utilities. Trees have been cleared and stumps are being removed. Most of the cut trees, branches and stumps have been taken away. The house lot will soon be ready for installation of the septic system and house foundation. Work on the house is expected to start this fall.
