Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. Since 1998, volunteers donated their time and efforts to help Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth and our Partner Families build homes throughout our local communities. By working alongside the future homeowners, our volunteers experience for themselves the joy created when a family is able to realize their dream of home-ownership and security.
We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and interests who want to make a difference in the community by helping those around them in need. We are not only working to build homes for families in need; we are working to create stronger communities dedicated to overcoming poverty and substandard housing. Through hands-on involvement, volunteers experience the satisfaction of a job well done and the joy that comes from contributing their time and efforts to helping someone else.
Habitat volunteers can contribute more than just muscle too. We invite volunteers not only to help us build, but to serve on committees and to help with special projects that benefit our organization. With a minimal staff, Habitat for Humanity depends upon volunteer committees for support with projects like Family Selection, Fundraising, and Volunteer Services. Your participation makes a difference.
As a grassroots nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth relies on the hard-work and dedication of volunteers to carry out our mission to help provide safe, simple, quality housing for low-income families in the Greater Plymouth area.
Involve Youth in Habitat for Humanity
There are many other ways to get young people involved in community service with Habitat for Humanity. From making welcome baskets for the families, to planting a tree, helping with mailings, or tutoring younger children of partner families, Plymouth County young people can get involved in making a difference through Habitat for Humanity.
