On October 14, 2006 a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the property on Braley Road.

The program began with a welcome from President of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth, Nancy Morse. Dottie Kelley introduced the new partner family that will be the homeowners of Braley Road, Jacqueline Scarpino and her 3 children, Christopher, Ashley and Nicholas.

Next Gerald Lemay a professor at UMass Dartmouth gave some reflections of the road that Habitat and UMass traveled to get to this momentous groundbreaking.

Reverend Gary Marks, Sr. Pastor at the Church of the Pilgrimage in Plymouth did the Call to Worship and Prayer.  The groundbreaking ceremony was performed by the Board of Directors for HFH Plymouth.

The service ended with a prayer for blessing of the ground by Rev. Gary Marks, the Lord's prayer led by Arnold Thorell, chair of Church Relations of HFH Plymouth and lastly the benediction by Reverend Paul Sinn.

The Groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by Carol King and Donna Fernandes of the HFH Board of Directors.
